BLACKPINK’s Lisa Sympathizes With Hungry “Youth With You 3” Trainees And Brightens Up Their Day

BLACKPINK‘s Lisa is the dance mentor of iQIYI‘s survival show Youth With You 3. Not only is she a great choice thanks to her incredible dance skills, but she also has experience in the entertainment industry thanks to being a BLACKPINK member.

That’s why when she heard the plight of the “TOU TOU” trainees, she was able to sympathize with them. When she asked if they ate anything before heading to her class, Jeremy shook his head while Jason K. said, “Not really.”

The others added that practice leads to them having “little time” for themselves. Both groups, Team A and Team B, were preparing for their Team Battle against each other. They worked even harder knowing that a live audience would be watching and voting for them.

Based on her experience as an idol with a jam-packed schedule, Lisa suggested eating while they practice. Unfortunately, the trainees insisted that even doing that takes out too much time from their day.

Jeremy: I don’t have time…

Dow: One meal per day.

Another useful tip that she does herself is to eat sweets while dancing.

She stressed the importance of having a full stomach while practicing intensely for a performance.

If you don’t have anything to eat, you don’t have energy.

When the trainees joked that they’re broke after Lisa asked if they had money to buy food, she came to a decision. Despite being based in South Korea, she promised to give them food through the show’s staff on site.

I’ll send you guys some food so you can have some.

It was evident from their expressions that the trainees were amazed and touched! Lisa reminded them, “Don’t tell the other teams! Only you guys.”
