BLACKPINK’s Rosé Reveals The Exclusive List Of People She Turns To When She’s Going Through A Hard Time
BLACKPINK‘s Rosé may be promoting solo right now, but that doesn’t mean she’s alone. In an interview with the Zach Sang Show, she revealed the people she finds herself closest to. When times are tough, she turns to them.
| @roses_are_rosie/InstagramAccording to Rosé, the list of her friends and confidants is admittedly small. It’s difficult to find people she can trust.
Oh, who do I go to? There are very few people that I turn to, to be honest. I can’t say that I have a lot of people. I think as I’m kind of, like, maturing, I’m starting to notice that it only comes down to very few people.

The ones who came to mind right away were her parents, older sister Alice, and producer Teddy. She praised the latter for his consistent help as someone who knows the entertainment industry well.
That includes my family and just out of all honesty my producer, Teddy. He kind of supports us in so many ways. He’s very experienced in this industry and everything, so he’s a very good support and help as a friend and kind of like a mentor, I would say.

She also touched on the people in her life who have the best timing. Though they didn’t know it then, their calls came at the right time.
And I noticed, there are always these very few friends who call you in the right moment. Let’s say I was fine the whole year. I was the happiest person. Then there’s this one moment where I’m just like, without much reason (I don’t think there has to be a lot of reason for it) but there are just those moments where you’re kind of lost. I have a few of these moments where I’m crying, sitting on my bed and crying, like, ‘Oh gosh I don’t know where I’m at.’ And then you get a call from that friend who’s like, ‘What’s up‘ and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh. I’m crying [that’s] what’s up.’

Besides having a sixth sense in knowing the right time to catch up with Rosé, they also have the best advice and words of support.
And then you laugh about it, like it’s crazy. That’s when the friend kind of wakes you up: ‘You’re doing fine, you know? Let me tell you out of all honesty.’ There are just those people who know what to say in the right moment and just know when to call when you need them. It’s just crazy.

The host, Zach, replied that it’s about quality over quantity in friendship, rather than having an army of people who tell her what they think she needs to hear. The BLACKPINK main vocalist immediately agreed.
Focusing specifically on Teddy, she shared how even if he’s BLACKPINK’s main producer professionally, he’s also their mentor and friend who helps them out in their personal lives.
The most important thing is that he knows how to be a great friend to us too. I think that’s the biggest part. The biggest support. I’m always grateful to have a friend like that around us.
