BLACKPINK Rosé’s #1 Love Is Music—Here Are 5 Times She Proved It
BLACKPINK‘s Rosé has many people that she loves, from her family to her fellow group members. However, if there’s one thing that equals or exceeds this, it’s music. She’s proven time and time again that it’s one of the most important things in her life.
Now that she’s finally releasing her solo song, let’s look back at the following proofs below!
1. When she played music since she was young
First up, Rosé was born to be a musician! She’s played piano and guitar ever since she could barely walk, and she was singing the entire time.

2. When she annoyed her parents with her habits
She just couldn’t stop singing! Rosé shared in the Zach Shang Show how she spent all day and night belting Beyoncé songs. It came to the point where she was sure she annoyed her parents with her never ending vocals.
Once I grew up, they told me, ‘Rosie, to be honest, it was really hard for us to go to bed when you were singing at the top of your lungs.’ I think I would sing Beyoncé’s ‘Listen’ when I couldn’t reach the notes cause I was a terrible singer.

Luckily for Rosé, her clear love for music pushed her parents to fully support her.
But I used to do that. I think my dad was like, ‘Okay I think she wants to pursue music.’ I think he was sick of me screaming at the top of my lungs on my piano every night at like 12AM.

3. When she faced her fears
Rosé didn’t have the most confidence when she tried out for YG Entertainment in their first ever Sydney audition.
[I auditioned] cause my dad told me to…he asked me if I wanted to take an audition and I didn’t even know if I was qualified. So I was like, ‘Is that even a question, can I?’

Her desire to continue singing for the rest of her life won out, and she decided to try her luck, choosing Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up”.
4. When she moved across the world to train
One of the hardest moments of Rosé’s life was when she packed up her bags and moved from Australia to Korea after passing the company audition. It was an emotional time when she said goodbye to her parents in order to live in the dorm with the other trainees.
I wasn’t even told I had to be separated. I arrived at the dorm and my mom and dad were like, ‘Ok, we’re leaving now’. And I was like, ‘Where are you going?’ They said I have to live with the other trainees here.

5. When she said she missed training
Finally, it says a lot that Rosé may be one of few idols who actually misses her hellish training period. She revealed in BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky that the hardships of trainee life was balanced out by always immersing herself with music.
Sometimes I actually miss my trainee days because back then we were surrounded by music all the time. But these days we’ve got a lot of work, so I actually have to make time for this. That’s why it’s always at night when I’m supposed to be sleeping.

Music is really her first love! Whenever she’s having a hard time, it consoles her and gives her strength.
I have a really hard time falling asleep. I have a lot of thoughts running through my head, and singing is kind of like stress relief. And everything just kinds of makes sense when I’m doing this.
