MAMAMOO’s Hwasa Sheds Tears At The Reality Of Being An Idol On “I Live Alone”

MAMAMOO’s Hwasa opened up on a recent episode of “I Live Alone” when talking with her father…and things got emotional.

He starts by saying how supportive he is of Hwasa’s newest release, “Maria.” His words already start the conversation with an emotional note.

However, he quickly shifts the tone when informing Hwasa about her mother.

She begins to tear up before the news even escapes his mouth.

Her father informs her that her mother is sick and has undergone a CT scan. Her mother didn’t want Hwasa to know as to not make her worry, but her father felt it was right to inform Hwasa.

She realizes that her album preparations took over much of her time and made her feel selfish that she wasn’t able to give as much time to her family and friends, despite having an incredibly hectic schedule as an idol.

She states that she pursues music because it’s what she loves but she’s left with an empty feeling when she can’t also keep up with her loved ones.

I do this to be happy but I’m missing out on so many things.

Hwasa is told her mom isn’t extremely sick so hopefully she has a speedy recovery! In the meantime, Hwasa tells her dad in between tears to play her song “Maria” for her mother to give her strength.
