Martin Scorsese’s Daughter Responds To Director Bong Joon Ho’s Oscars Acceptance Speech About Her Dad
Director Bong Joon Ho recently made history as he took home 4 Academy Awards (Oscars) this past weekend for his renown film, titled “PARASITE”.
During his acceptance speech for “Best Director”, he made a special shoutout to his fellow nominees, but most importantly, director Martin Scorsese!
Director Bong revealed that while studying film, he was deeply inspired by Director Scorsese’s quote, “The most personal is the most creative.” He turned the honor to Director Scorsese during his speech, leading to the whole crowd rising for a standing ovation!

After the legendary interaction between two legendary directors, Martin Scorsese’s daughter, Francesca Scorsese, took to Instagram to mention the standing ovation.
She commented that although her dad may not have won “Best Director”, the standing ovation brought on by Bong Joon Ho’s speech was even “better than winning“!
Francesca shares the sweetest bond with her dad as she’s been his date for many of his award shows. They’ve proven time and time again that they’re complete couple goals and her gracious comment about Bong Joon Ho’s speech was as deeply moving as her father’s films!
