Two years later, an interesting fact about “Ko Ko Bop” is making EXO-Ls interested all over again. Producer Styalz Fuego revealed that song was originally meant for Red Velvet!
He explained that the key was made higher to fit Red Velvet’s tone.

The demo itself was made using a female voice, making it believable that the female group would have done well had it been given to them.

Red Velvet was presumably given their now-iconic song “Red Flavor” instead.
They promoted it a few weeks before EXO’s “Ko Ko Bop” was released on July 18, 2017.
