These 14 K-Pop Rappers Can Definitely Slay The Vocal Position
Even if these idols are originally rappers, they’ve proved that they would make absolutely amazing vocals.
1. f(x)’s Amber
Amber had originally trained under SM Entertainment as a vocal but was put as a rapper last minute since everyone else in f(x) was a vocal. She hasn’t lot her touch, however, and is an absolutely amazing vocalist!
2. MONSTA X’s Jooheon
MONBEBEs know Jooheon as their hardcore rapper, but he actually has an amazing singing voice. He showed off his amazing skills when MONSTA X covered “Versace on the Floor”, with Jooheon taking the chorus.
3. BIGBANG’s T.O.P
T.O.P is known for his low-pitch raps, and it’s just as low when he sings! His voice is as smooth as chocolate and everybody should give his singing a chance.
4. Fiestar’s Yezi
Yezi definitely had more singing tracks during Fiestar‘s early days, but fans can never get enough of her vocal ability! Fans were shocked when she participated in King of Masked Singer, only proving that she’s still a talented vocalist.
5. MAMAOO’s Moonbyul
Like Amber, Moonbyul was originally training to be a vocal and was made to be a rapper since the rest of her members are all vocals. She’s recently been showing off her vocal skills more and more and fans are in love with her deep voice!
6. (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon
Before debuting as the leader of (G)I-DLE, Soyeon debuted as a soloist in which she both raps and sings. Her singing has fans shook, not knowing how talented she was in singing. During her introduction video for (G)I-DLE, she revealed she was originally a vocal.
7. BLACKPINK’s Lisa
Lisa is mostly known for her dancing and rapping, but she is actually an amazing singer! Many people don’t seem to recognize her singing, so you should all give BLACKPINK‘s “Don’t Know What To Do” a listen to hear her vocal talent!
8. Cosmic Girls’ Exy
Exy was originally a vocal, but due to vocal modules, she switched over to rap to protect her vocal cords. Regardless, Exy is still an amazing vocalist and she sometimes lets fans listen to her sing, but fans agree that it’s better she raps to protect her vocal cords.
9, 10, 11. SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo, Mingyu, and S.Coups
All part of the hip-hop team in SEVENTEEN, Wonwoo (video above),Mingyu, and S.Coups originally auditioned for PLEDIS Entertainment as vocals but were later put into the hip-hop team. The boys have been able to showcase their vocals more and more, and CARATs are in love!

12. EXO’s Chanyeol
Chanyeol is not only an amazing low-tone rapper, but also an amazing low-tone singer. EXO-Ls hope that SM Entertainment gives Chanyeol more singing lines and utilize his low voice more in their upcoming tracks. Check out his cover of TWICE‘s “Signal”.
13. NCT’s Mark
Fans were shocked to hear how great of a singing voice NCT‘s Mark has when he covered SHINee‘s “View” and have since been hoping for more! He sings in some NCT Dream tracks, so NCTzens can hear his singing voice there.
14. BTOB’s Minhyuk
Minhyuk is an exceptionally good rapper, but fans are in love with his soothing voice and hope to hear him sing even more in upcoming tracks.
