Seungri’s Military Deferment Will Be Expiring Next Week
Seungri, who has been charged with embezzlement and prostitution solicitation, will be required to enlist in the military next week unless he submits a request for another deferment.
In March, Seungri submitted a request for deferment of his active military duty, stating that he will do his best to faithfully comply with investigations.
If you will allow me to, I will delay my enlistment date and faithfully comply with investigations until the very end.

As a result, the Military Manpower Administration granted Seungri a 3-month deferment and his enlistment was postponed to June 24th.
Seungri, who is 29 years old this year, can apply for 4 additional deferments until he turns 30, but if he is to apply for the deferment due to “other inevitable circumstances” as he did before, he will only be allowed to request one more.
If Seungri plans to request an additional deferment, he will be required to submit the documents the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration by 5 days before his enlistment date (June 19th).
