Mother Of Heart Patient Thanks Wanna One For Saving Lives In Heartfelt Letter

On June 24th, The Korea Heart Foundation shared a letter written by the mother of a child patient, thanking Wanna One for their efforts.

Along with the letter, The Korea Heart Foundation shared that the money Wanna One donated last year has saved 33 heart patients.

The 100 million KRW ($87,000 USD) that Wanna One donated last year has saved the lives of 33 heart patients. The HEART LIGHT Campaign, which was started with the idea by (Wanna One’s) leader Yoon Jisung will forever be remembered by the heart patients.

The mother of the heart patient expressed her gratitude towards Wanna One in her handwritten letter:

To Wanna One:
How can I express how thankful I am? There is nothing else to say but thank you and thank you. I am ***’s mother. He received pulmonary valve surgery on August 29th of this year. As the mother of a child with congenital heart disease, it hurts me that he must receive numerous surgeries. This is the third time he is receiving open heart surgery, so it was even harder than before. Even so, we will live with a thankful mind towards the Wanna One members as he was able to return to his life.

Thank you. This was all thanks to The Korea Heart Foundation and Wanna One’s support. I will support your music as well.

I will help my child grow healthily and raise him to become someone who can repay this generosity in the future.
