Veteran Singer Kim Hyun-Chul Reveals What Working With MAMAMOO’s Hwasa And Wheein Is Like

MAMAMOO‘s Hwasa and Wheein are set to feature on veteran singer Kim Hyun-Chul’s new album–his first release since his 9th album in 2013.

In an exclusive interview, Kim Hyun-Chul revealed how the collaboration began in the first place.

Everyone knows that MAMAMOO sings well, but they’re so high up in the sky (popularity), I carefully asked how it would be if they sang for my album.

Thankfully, RBW, MAMAMOO’s entertainment company, gladly accepted. Kim Hyun-Chul then began to work on the lyrics.

Kim Hyun-Chul then shared on the concept behind the title track that Hwasa and Wheein are set to feature on, “I’m in Love With One Person”.

Wheein and Hwasa have been best friends since middle school, and have gone through hardships and came up to Seoul together. I wondered how it would be if two best friends loved one guy.

The inspiration for the lyrics came from the idea of Hwasa and Wheein’s relationship of being “best friends”.

Finally, Kim Hyun-Chul revealed what it was like to work with the duo.

[Hwasa and Wheein] are good. They even divided their own parts. They went along very well. Wheein’s calm charisma and Hwasa’s strong, assertive feel clearly show when handling emotions, and I was really satisfied.
