Choi Jonghoon Has Been Arrested
It has just been announced that former FT ISLAND member Choi Jonghoon has been arrested.
The Seoul Central District Court determined around 10 pm KST that the arrest warrant valid on the basis of fears that he would destroy evidence. He has been charged with special rape relating to the hidden camera videos that were taken and shared at a hotel in 2016.
Choi Jonghoon attended his arrest warrant hearing at 10:30 am KST, and following hours of deliberation, it was determined by the court that he would be arrested. While entering the prosecutor’s office, he did not respond to any reporter questions.
Choi Jonghoon could be seen leaving the court after his arrest warrant hearing with with his hands handcuffed, hidden, and his arms bound by rope. The only thing he said was “I’m Sorry.”
Back on May 8, 2019, police requested Choi Jonghoon’s arrest warrant.
