Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung Refuses to Make Money from Her YouTube Channel, Here’s Why
On a recent broadcast of Celuv.TV, Davichi‘s Kang Min Kyung and Lee Hae Ri spoke about various topics including their next album.
When the host asked Kang Min Kyung if she gets paid from her activities on YouTube, she laughed as she confessed, “People always ask me why I work so hard for little to no pay.”
Regarding this common question, Kang Min Kyung revealed that she only started her YouTube channel in order to communicate with her fans outside of work, so she has no intention of requesting for profit.
She also added, “If you request for profit, your videos start playing random advertisements in between. When I see an ad like that, I just stop watching the video.”
Kang Min Kyung expressed her worry that that’s what would happen with her fans as well and explained, “I think it’s more meaningful to make sure they watch my videos than try to make a profit out of it.”
Kang Min Kyung created her YouTube channel last October, and she also confessed that she makes no money off it last month when she appeared on MBC’s Radio Star.
