With the heartbreaking news of SHINee’s Jonghyun death, S.M. Entertainment artists are canceling their events and returning to Korea.

SHINee’s Jonghyun passed away in an apartment in Seoul on December 18, 2017, and news has spread around the world.

World news broadcasts including BBC UK, the Variety, US Daily, and the Sun delivered the news of Jonghyun’s death.

A member of one of South Korea's biggest boy bands has died suddenly.

Jonghyun, full name Kim Jong-hyun, was one of the five members of K-pop's Shinee.

Upon receiving the news, many S.M. Entertainment artists ceased or canceled their scheduled activities to mourn Jonghyun’s death with all their hearts.

Kangta was unable to fulfill his role as the host of MBC FM’s Kangta’s Starry Night, and special guest MC Illac lead the show instead.

NCT’s Jaehyun and Johnny were also unable to appear on SBS Power FM’s NCT’s Night Night.

Girl’s Generation’s Taeyeon promptly canceled her scheduled fan sign event.

SHINee’s Key was in Lisbon, Portugal for a photo shoot, but is already on his way back to Korea.
